Process Description

This process is initiated either by receiving a customer order or on the levels of stock. Upon receiving the sales orders production is planned.

This process consists of the following sub-processes:

  2. Manufacture paint based on the sales order

  1. Raw material wastage
  2. Manufacturing lead time of:
    i) Standard production
    ii) Make to order production

Risks

  1. Stock levels are inaccurate
  2. The formulations are incorrect
  3. The production plan is out of date
  4. Produced paints do not meet production specifications

Opportunities

The entire process can be automated by managing paint production on the new ERP system.
